- Fuel surcharge may apply to some orders.
- Additional charges may be added for locations that require "interline trucking" (multiple carriers).
- If there is no dock, the customer may be responsible for unloading or be charged for "inside delivery".

The anticoagulation properties of Citrasate may help reduce the costs associated with hard to treat dialysis patients. Citrasate may eliminate the need to use a second dialyzer and bloodline set due to clotting, and reduce the use of Heparin or other expensive anticoagulation drugs. Citrasate can also save valuable nursing time.

Costly Pharmaceutical Alternatives to Heparin Include:
- Saline flushes
- Lepirudin (Refludan) Hirudin is contraindicated for patients with significant renal failure
- Danaparoid sodium (Orgaran)
- Argatroban
- Warfarin sodium (Coumadin)
- Viprinex
If you are using any of the above alternatives to Heparin, your cost per treatment is significantly increased to the point that you may exceed the reimbursement per treatment rate. These alternatives have side effects and are not well proven as alternatives.
